Nadia

She didn't look this sad. Back to Monday night portrait drawing. This is a 20" by 25and 1/2" pastel on Canson. I haven't done this larger size for awhile and it started off bad but I was able to pull it together.

Monday Night Portrait Drawing

16" by 20" on pastel board. Not one of my favorites. I was having a lot of trouble with it, maybe because I haven't drawn in a few weeks. Saul, who was sitting next to me, helped out by loaning me a view finder. I didn't like the head view from my angle but did like the overall pose. I was able to get it all in because I was working larger than I have been lately. I should have been standing to get some distance from the picture. I had some good colors for awhile but lost them. The model was Tom O'Connell. Jerry, who owns the studio space we work in, met him at the Coffee Exchange where he finds a lot of our models.

Monday Night Portrait Drawing

Both are 9" by 12" pastels of Brian. He is in the military. After he posed, he played the guitar and sang us a song.
